A New Chapter: GBead Adornments Moves to Brooklyn 🗽✨
If you’ve been following GBead Adornments lately, you know things have been a little quieter and why... because ya girl moved to Brooklyn! 🥳
This move was bigger than packing boxes and changing an address. I was ready for a new environment, new opportunities, and a fresh start personally, financially and professionally. Moving to Brooklyn puts me closer to new communities, events, customers, and opportunities for GBead Adornments to continue growing, and my career as a speech therapist to flourish.

Why I Took Two Weeks Off
As a small business owner, all I wanted to do was all the things that lead to burn out: and always be on. Posting. Creating. Answering emails. Filling orders. Planning the next thing.
But moving reminded me that sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.
I chose to be out of office for two weeks because I wanted time to actually move, unpack, settle into my new home, and begin creating a functional space for GBead again. Instead of trying to balance orders, content, events, work, and moving boxes all at once, I gave myself permission and grace to focus on the transition.
And because I didn't want to move ALL that inventory with me...we had a Moving Sale! 😂📦
What started as a fun way to lighten the moving load turned into the perfect opportunity to celebrate something else I had been working on behind the scenes: the launch of the new GBead Adornments website! I hired a black owned business, Black & Mortar, and Darnell did his thing!
It was only right to continue celebrations and extend the sale.

Brooklyn, We're Outside! 💕
The timing couldn't be better because GBead is also stepping into more events throughout Brooklyn and NYC.
One of my recent events, Breathe Queens, hosted by Soyayya Movement and I Am Yogi Studios, was an amazing success. I felt back in my element and my customers allowed me grace and understanding that I was taking off for a few weeks to focus on the move.
Now that I am mostly settled and I finally have my Wifi and Gas services set up- it is on like Donkey Kong! I am ready to start back up creating and adorning!

I'm Going Back to School...Kind Of 😂
I'm also currently participating in a business cohort through the Queens Economic Development Center, which includes 10 weeks of business mentorship and education.
Twice a week, I'm logging into three-hour virtual classes where we're diving into areas like identifying and understanding our target audience, business planning, pitching, and strengthening the foundation behind our businesses.
Six hours of class a week on top of everything else is definitely a commitment but I'm excited about what I'm learning and even more excited to apply it to GBead Adornments.
Because as much as I love creating beautiful waistbeads and accessories, I also want to continue becoming a stronger business owner behind the brand.
Here's to the Next Chapter 🥂
So yes, I've been a little quieter.
But quiet doesn't mean nothing is happening.
I've been moving, unpacking, learning, rebuilding my workspace, working on my business, launching a new website, popping up at events, and figuring out what this next version of GBead Adornments looks like.
Brooklyn is home now, and GBead is growing right along with me.
The biggest lesson I'm carrying into this chapter?
You don't always have to move faster to get further. Sometimes you have to slow down, get grounded, and then move with purpose.
Here's to new beginnings, new opportunities, and seeing where GBead goes next. 💕✨
